The Cold Steel Spike series of knives have been totally redesigned. This latest iteration is sure to become the golden standard in what a neck knife is supposed to be. The updated Cold Steel Spike feature razor sharp zero ground blades and contoured handle scales. The Griv-Ex handle scales are molded with integral crossguards which naturally position the hand and also protect the hand by providing a stop to keep the fingers from sliding up to the blade and getting cut. Additionally, the Griv-Ex scales are deeply scallopped and textured to provide excellent grip. The full-tang construction makes the Cold Steel Spike much stronger than a similarly weighted folding knife. The slim profile and light weight are barely noticeable and can be carried all day without notice or fatigue. The German 4116 Stainless Steel blade takes an extremely sharp edge and holds it. The zero ground blade has no secondary bevel, it runs straight to the cutting edge. This type of grind yields a very tough and sharp edge.
