All models feature the "Carson Flipper" extension to the blade, which aids opening and acts as an additional blade guard. The CL-M1600 and CL-M1610 feature Tanto-style blades with dual hollow grinds. They offer maximum strength in a blade of this size. The CL-M1601 and CL-M1611 have spear point blades with a false edge on the spine. It is a versatile ulitity blade for a variety of jobs. One-hand opening and closing is as velvet smooth as the larger M16s, the result of Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot. The ambidextrous thumb studs with checkered surface provide instant access in any circumstance. All models feature a removable black Teflon plated stainless steel clothing/gear clip.
