Their version is true to Pat's design in every way, incorporating their rock-solid "overbuilt" construction methods: 420J2 double stainless steel liners, 6061 hard anodized aluminum back spacer, Torx® fasteners, Teflon® bearings and Zytel® scales. An integral part of the Point Guard is the patented "Lake And Walker Knife Safety" (LAWKS®) to provide lock security under extreme use.The modern Point Guard design is slim and trim, with no excess. There is just enough handle to hold the blade. Holes and slots are incorporated to minimize handle weight and located so that frame strength is not reduced.The rear of the handle is rounded to maintain the minimal profile, which permits the knife to be held comfortably regardless of hand size.
