Ed Van Hoy has designed a number of hot sellers for Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT). The handle is an unusual combination of a 420J2 stainless steel frame-lock with a 6061 T6 black anodized aluminum side plate, both liberally slotted and drilled to further reduce the weight. The removable bead-blast stainless steel pocket clip provides all the carry options imaginable; in pocket, on belt, or in bags and briefcases. Measures 3-7/8" closed and weighs 3.3 oz. The illustrated CRKT knife is the CRKT On Fire Knife, designed by Ed Van Hoy. The On Fire knife features a 2.375" part serrated drop point blade made of AUS8 stainless steel, .14" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58. The blade of this CRKT knife has a non reflective bead blast finish, top swedge, notched thumb rest for secure grip, thumb stud and OutBurst assist for one hand opening. The bead blasted slotted stainless steel handle, 3.875" closed, has a black 6061 T6 aluminum side plate, Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS) and a frame lock.
